On October 16, 2025, Mitsubishi Materials Hardmetal Corporation held an opening ceremony and first shipment event at its manufacturing subsidiary, OTEC (Thailand) Co., Ltd., located in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Thailand.
The new plant was built to meet the growing demand for rock tools (bits and rods) and to double the manufacturing capacity of rods in the future.
The facility is equipped with the latest machining and heat treatment equipment to ensure a stable supply of high-quality rod products. 
In addition to supporting customers' business growth in the rock tools industries, we will promote the introduction of energy-saving equipment and the proper management of waste, taking consideration of reducing environmental impact as part of resource circulation initiatives.
We will also contribute to the creation of sustainable communities by deepening ties with local communities, creating jobs, and providing educational support to neighboring schools.
Specific initiatives include donation of daily necessities, improvement of the water supply system, painting of classroom walls, installation of a waste incinerator, tree planting activities, etc.
